EP (extreme pressure) grease is specifically formulated to withstand high pressure and extreme temperature conditions. Based on its properties, EP grease is best used for scenarios 3) high temp low speed, and 4) high temp high speed.

In high temperature environments, EP grease remains stable and does not break down, ensuring effective lubrication even under extreme heat. Additionally, its ability to handle high pressure conditions makes it suitable for applications where there is significant mechanical stress, such as high-speed machinery or heavy-duty equipment.

It's important to choose the right grease based on the specific requirements of the application to ensure optimal performance and equipment longevity.

There is nothing inherent about an EP grease that would ever lead someone to believe that it would work for high temp applications, so 4 is not an option.

There is also nothing inherent about the term EP Grease that would lead someone to believe that it would last longer. EP is referring to an additive package. Meaning that it would likely have something like moly or PTFE in the grease that is helping in reduce the chance for metal to metal contact.
